Russian Language: Contemporary Situation and Problem of Reforming Orthography

The contemporary state of the Russian language is briefly reviewed. The history of reforming the Russian graphics and orthographic is traced. Problems are marked which are connected with the work of the Orthographic Committee for Reforming the Russian Language Orthography created on the basis of the RF Academy of Sciences.
