Arcback in Caesium-filled Heat Emission Diode

Results are presented of theoretical and experimental studies of airback-drop voltage in the heat emission diode filled with caesium and various vapours of electrode materials. Experimental dependencies of the arcback-drop voltage on the caesium vapour pressure, temperature of electrodes and value of a gap between them are obtained. It is shown that, beginning with some low enough anode temperature, the arcback-drop voltage does not depend on it any more. Experimental results are in conformity with the developed analytical model of arcback.
