Spectra of Planar Imperfections in 3D-Photon Crystal

Results of experimental investigations of spectra of planar imperfections in a 3D photon crystal are presented. The imperfections were observed during both the light reflection and its transmission. An imperfection model is offered and a formula for the excitation quantum energy is derived. Values of this magnitude are numerically estimated which are in agreement with experimental data. A method is developed for calculating the imperfection size based on the light dispersion spectra.
