The developed optical diagnostic module is described and techniques on experiments are given for studying the optical characteristics of the condensed media in the shortwave (UV-VUV) region of spectrum at energy of quanta of the sounding synchrotron radiation hν ~ 3,5...25 eV under vacuum. Results are presented of the experimental determination of the frequency dependence of luminescence excitation spectra, of the quantum yield of the luminescence of the easily ablating dielectrics based on elements of the polymer chain at the Kurchatov’s source of synchrotron radiation with power density values of the sounding radiation below a threshold for the developed surface evaporation (I0~1012 photon/(cm2·s)) and at the target surface temperature 300...77K.
