The magnetic- and electric-pulse filling of a mold with liquid metal using the time-varying electromagnetic Ampere force is investigated. A method of implicit measurement of the resistance coefficient of liquid metal is shown and the mean value of the resistance coefficient during the metal movement in the mold is determined. The method allows one to study the joint influence of the mold and metal parameters on parameters of the process of filling the mold with metal. The analysis of the relief of the metal's free surface has revealed the resulting action of electromagnetic forces.
