To Calculation of Temperature Field in Conductor when Slowly Heated by High Density Electric Current

The solution of the conductor heat exchange problem, when it is heated during 5-10 s in the air by the electric current with density j ≈ 108 A/m2, is considered. The mathematical model of the process is suggested. The conductor temperature field change is obtained for the specific case. The calculation results fit well the experimental data at the initial stage of the process.
