The simulation of the electromagnetic acceleration and deceleration of the liner in the magnetic compressor is performed in the two-dimensional approximation corresponding to dissecting the initial spatial area by the lateral plane. The models are discussed in which the liner is considered as an elastic body, elastoplastic body, and as a viscous liquid. Results of the computation and the comparative analysis of the liner behavior for the different models are given.
