Fundamental statements of modern terminology

Studies in terminology as a special linguistic discipline whose foundation is presently laid, foresee the problems analysis related to this science concept and, first of all, its central parameter - term. There are many directions of terminology being studied by contemporary linguistics. Only some aspects of terminology are disclosed: problem of the term definition, single-valuedness/many-valuedness of the term, synonymy problem, that of national/international in the terms, as well as a variance problem stepping forth currently.
