The activity approach in education - does not mean the campaign for improvement and refinement of the educational paradigm. This is a modern approach to the pedagogical phenomena from the position and on the basis of the subject learning activity of a student and activities of other participants of the educational process. Basic notions of the activity approach and their application in the professional engineering training are described.
