The enthalpies of reaction of Zn(c., excess) with 0.001963 mole/kg aqueous solution of CuCl2(c) in water at different concentrations were measured in an isothermic-shell calorimeter. According to the results and literature data obtained standard enthalpy of ion Cu2+ formation in aqueous solution was determined by two independent methods at 298.15 K. Its recommended weighted average was also found
